Honoring the Built Environment: World FM Day 2026 in the Permian Basin

Every year on May 13th, the global facility management community comes together to celebrate World FM Day. For 2026, the theme is "Cultivating belonging through built environments." Here in the IFMA Permian Basin Chapter, that message resonates deeply as we reflect on the spaces we manage and the robust professional community we continue to build together.
Cultivating belonging extends beyond the walls of our buildings; it also means investing in the future of our industry and the local workforce. We are incredibly proud of our community organizations like Skillpoint Alliance Permian Basin, they are training the next generation of the skilled trades to launch their careers. Empowering these students is a foundational step in ensuring the long-term resilience of the facilities sector in our region.
Of course, the success of these community outreach programs, our regular chapter meetings, and our broader networking efforts wouldn't be possible without the continued dedication of our members and our annual website sponsors. From our Diamond and Platinum partners to our Gold, Silver, and Bronze tier supporters, your ongoing contributions provide the platform for our chapter to lead, educate, and connect.
As we celebrate World FM Day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to recognize the behind-the-scenes heroes who keep our local facilities running seamlessly.
We also want to keep the conversation going: How are you implementing new strategies to foster community and belonging within the facilities you manage? What emerging technologies, sustainable practices, or team-building approaches are you exploring this year to elevate your operations? Let us know in the comments or at our next chapter meeting!
Thank you for your continued dedication to excellence in facility management across the Permian Basin.
